Accessing Bloomberg, Cap IQ & WRDS

Wharton Research Data Services is comprehensive Internet-based data management system that allows researchers to retrieve information from a wide variety of financial, economic, and marketing data sources. This hosted data service has become the focus for quantitative data research and is recognized by the academic and financial research community around the world as the leading business intelligence tool.

Accessing WRDS requires an individual login.  

Step 1: Go to – https://wrds-www-wharton-upenn-edu.liblink.uncw.edu/register/ 

Step 2: Click “Register” 

Step 3: After registration and confirming the email associated with your student/faculty account, a registration request will be forwarded for approval. Upon approval, you will receive an email with login instructions.  

Please contact the WRDS administrator at your UNCW if your account approval takes more than 48hours.
