Dedicated to former University Librarian, Sherman Hayes, this space features occasional exhibits of art and other materials, as well as small, public events.

These projects represent work completed within UNCW Library, as well as showcase student work, and campus and community collaborations. These types of projects utilize innovative tools and technologies to enhance the user experience with the material such as interactive timelines, visual mapping, and data visualizations.

Library Exhibit Gallery (DH 1071)
Discovery Hall, First Floor

The UNCW Library Exhibit Gallery features rotating exhibits designed to creatively display high-quality research and exhibits that are informative, engaging, culturally enriching, and unambiguously aligned with UNCW Library’s core values: learning, access, service, integrity, and diversity.

The space is 1046 square feet, featuring six 75-inch display monitors on two facing walls, and one blank interior wall for mounting physical visual items. Adjustable track lighting and a ceiling speaker system provide sound and lighting capabilities to the space. There is also an inventory of 14 display cases of various sizes.
