A Data Management Plan is a document that grant applicants are often required to create when proposing their research project; however, anyone could optionally create a Data Management Plan to help them guide them as they begin their research, and anyone can follow Data Management best practices generally to keep their research work organized, clear, and efficient.
"Data Management" is the compilation of many small practices you can take to make data easier to find and understand, less likely to be lost, and more likely to be useful later. These actions involve:
