Overview

Podcasting is a process of recording, editing, and sharing audio.  Podcasts have many modalities, include narrative, commentary, interviews, as well as several other structures.  Many podcasts may even be a combination of modalities.

Process

At a glance, the podcasting process is

  1. Recording
  2. Editing
  3. Publishing/Sharing/Posting

Many people may use webcam microphones or their computer microphone to record a podcast.  Others may use sophisticated equipment.  The MakerStudio offers two Podcasting Studios (Studio A and Studio B) that anyone from the UNCW community may reserve to record or edit.

Reserve the Podcasting Studio on the Library website.  Before your reservation, check in with the friendly staff at the Library Technology Desk (LTD).  We will confirm your reservation and check out the room to you.  Be sure to check in with LTD staff when you're finished.  No food or drink is permitted inside the studios.
